I’m considering writing some stuff about the stuff, because there’s a bunch of stuff inside of me and I really need to get that stuff outside of me.
But first, a little training for my orienting response, as well as an attempt to identify some signs I’m recovering:
- I lifted heavier than usual for the clean and press, rows, and tricep extensions at Bodypump.
- My son was thrilled to have me at school for Sports Day. It was fun to watch him run around with a rubber chicken and a beanbag and stuff.
- It was nice to talk to some of the other mums at Sports Day, even if that got cut short as all our kids got upset.
- I got some fun photos of the kids. I thought I got blurry photos of nothing.
- I finally managed to put away the three loads of laundry that had built up on the spare bed in the study.
- I tidied some things around the house. I can see the top of the desk again. The floor has been vacuumed. It needed it.
- I also cleaned out some email. I can find the important emails again.
- I paid some bills.
- I ate some fruit, vegetables, and nuts. I drank more water.
- I did a little bit more reading.
- I updated my reading stuff on Outside of a Dog.
- I had two flashbacks, and resolved one by telling myself it was a flashback.
- I… started a blog… I guess? Partly to do this list… to resolve the second flashback.
- My step-dad says he’s giving me some camera equipment. I think there’s at least one digital SLR and another film SLR.
- It was a little easier to get through the evening routine and have things ready for tomorrow.
I’ve been finding everything too hard for a long time now. I thought I should make a point of reminding myself that I am recovering.
I was able to do a little bit more than I’ve been able to do for a while. I was able to find some things in the world and in myself that were nice.
